"Triumph and Sorrow" records one of the most ambitious and controversial projects of contemporary artist William Kentridge: a huge sculpture belt on the bank of the Tiber River in Rome, depicting the glory and tragedy of the eternal city commissioned in the summer of 2016. This film was shot exclusively in two years from Kenrich's home in South Africa to the center of Rome. It describes the artist's vision and his creative process of developing an art that will disappear in a few years.
